(Not) The Ultimate Goal

God designed marriage to be more than a source of personal happiness; it is meant to point beyond itself to the gospel. Through sacrificial love, commitment, and faithfulness, marriage can reflect the relationship between Christ and His church. But even this good gift was never meant to become our ultimate goal; our deepest purpose and lasting fulfillment are found in knowing and following Jesus.
