Communications Request

This form is for ministries, life groups, and church members of The Grove to request media creation and promotion for events and announcements related to the congregation, ministries, and organizations of The Grove Church.

The Media Team and staff will consider the audience, communication level, timing, overall church calendar, and available channels to build the appropriate promotional approach for your event.

Requests may be considered for Grove News, stage announcements, social media, email, app notifications, website/app placement, and ministry-specific channels. Submitting a request does not guarantee promotion through every channel.

All requests are subject to media guidelines of The Grove including:
– Submission a minimum of 14 days prior to desired promotion date.
– High-resolution images and graphics with no distortion.
– Concise text.
– Fonts, colors, and designs that complement the branding of The Grove.

To maintain visual consistency and clarity across all media platforms, events and announcements promoted through The Grove’s website, app, or official channels must use graphics created by the Grove Media Team.

NOTE: The timeline for media development and promotion is limited to the availability of volunteers of the media team. Every effort is made to quickly fulfill requests, but please note that requests can take up to 14 days to review and process.

Six Principles That Guide Our Communication

1. Awareness is not interest.
Simply making people aware of something isn’t the goal. Effective communication moves people toward a clear next step.

2. Sunday is not your Savior.
A Sunday morning announcement isn’t the solution to every communication need. The stage is one tool within a much larger communication strategy.

3. The more you announce, the less they listen.
When everything is emphasized, nothing feels important. We protect people’s attention by being selective about what receives churchwide promotion.

4. Inspiration over information.
People respond to purpose and stories more than lists of details. We communicate why it matters and provide the details somewhere else.

5. One destination for every promo.
We want people to know where to go without having to remember a different destination every week. For The Grove, our primary destination is Grove News in The Grove App, supported by our website, thegrovemadison.org/news.

6. Values dictate voice.
How we communicate should reflect who we are. Our messaging should consistently represent The Grove’s mission, values, personality, and priorities.
